Children Master Acting and Dance at Chabootra Theater Workshop; ‘Season-10’ Festival to Begin June 11

Lucknow – The Valmiki Park in Takrohi, Indira Nagar, recently buzzed with creativity as children showcased their talents at the summer workshop of ‘Chabootra Theater Pathshala.’ Operated by the ‘Mother Seva Sansthan,’ the workshop served as a training ground for young artists, whose hard work is now set to culminate in a grand theatrical showcase.

The Magic of Storytelling and Acting

During the workshop, renowned theater artist Mahesh Chandra Deva captivated the children using unique storytelling techniques. He transported them into imaginative worlds filled with forests, wild animals, and ghost stories. Beyond just listening, the children learned the nuances of acting by bringing these diverse characters to life, blending imagination with performance skills.

Professional Training in Dance and Music

The training extended into the realm of rhythm and movement under the guidance of famous Kathak dancer Rajni Verma. She taught the children how to synchronize their movements with rhythm and beat using a technical ‘counting’ method. The workshop involved rigorous practice sessions for both dance and song, ensuring the young performers are ready for a professional stage.

Chabootra Theater Festival (Season-10) to Open June 11

Kiran Lata, President of the organization, announced that the vibrant performances prepared during the workshop will be the highlight of the ‘Chabootra Theater Festival Season-10.’ This three-day theatrical extravaganza is scheduled to run from June 11 to June 13 at the auditorium of the International Buddhist Research Institute in Gomti Nagar.
